Client: Schuyler County Partnership for Professional Economic Development (SCOPED)
Project:  Corporate Brand Development

SCOPED is the economic development agency for Schuyler County in New York State. SCOPED partners with businesses to deliver innovative and comprehensive economic development packages that help firms compete in local, regional, national, and international markets. The organization strives to: “… turn vision into reality, opportunities into results, and challenges into successes.”

The SCOPED organization needed to improve its overall BRAND IDENTITY to become more noticeable and competitive. To match its mission vision statement, the organization wanted to be positioned as progressive, with the ability and resources to work with companies to achieve their goals.

Successful Solution:

Keegan Associates developed a new Brand Logo to give the organization a contemporary symbol with bright colors and curved lines symbolizing action. In addition, the Agency produced a full color print ad campaign series that ran in various regional business and lifestyle publications. To match SCOPED’S vision, each print ad focused on a specific development need from a company that required active support from SCOPED to achieve its objectives. To further emphasize SCOPED’s ability to overcome challenges each print ad placed the business principal in a unique position relative to the firm’s business. The headline and single line body copy then expressed the business’s satisfaction with finding an organization that could help them solve their challenge. Each ad was developed from the viewpoint of the business and therefore each ad served as a case study testimonial.

The SCOPED challenge print ad campaign won a 2009 Certificate of Excellence award in the New York State Economic Development Council Marketing Awards competition.  It also received a Platinum Award in the 2009 International Mar-Com Awards competition.
