Capital Fundraising Campaigns

Fundraising Public Relations support that produces results.

Keegan Associates provides public relations, community relations, and marketing/Communications materials to support the fundraising efforts of non-profit organizations. Over the years our Agency has helped raise approximately $22.5 million towards projects totaling $76 million. Our successful campaigns have also won six national and international marketing/communications awards for excellence.

Getting Started.

Once the campaign feasibility has been evaluated, Keegan Associates can begin the process by developing the Case for Support document. This document will define the community need, the overall description of the project and other talking points that will educate potential donors and highlight the project’s value and necessity.

We will also develop a comprehensive Public Relations Strategy that will effectively communicate with all of the necessary target audiences including community leaders, the general public, and media outlets. This strategy will include goals, timelines, and detailed specifics for implementation.

Cortland Memorial Hospital

"Coming Together" Campaign

$3.33 million campaign, $6 million project cost

 

The campaign’s initial goal was to raise $3 million to be split equally between building renovations and an endowment fund. Overall project cost for renovations was $6 million, which included a 12,000 square foot, two-story addition for a new Emergency Department, Laboratory Services, and Imaging Services. The campaign exceeded its original goal, raising more than $3,330,000.

 

Keegan Associates developed the campaign name, logo and stationary, a 16-page Case for Support brochure, a quick overview brochure, various presentation materials for community meetings, press releases and donor appreciation wall display designs. The Agency also integrated the campaign into the hospital’s on-going marketing and public relations efforts.

YWCA of Cortland County

"This is My YW!" Campaign

$3 million campaign, $3 million project

 

The YWCA’s planned capital project included extensive expansion of the facility, including a new gymnasium, kitchen, daycare center, locker rooms, activity rooms/center, and parking lot. While the original fundraising campaign goal was $1.5 million, the end result doubled this with $3 million in donations.

 

Keegan Associates provided public relations support including the campaign logo and stationary, print and radio advertisements, press releases, community presentation materials, and multiple materials for member/community education and support.

HONORABLE MENTION Mar-Com Award – Non-Profit Public Awareness Campaign 

Samaritan Medical Center

"Advancing Healthcare … Close to Home" Campaign

$13.5 million campaign, $61 million project cost

 

When it launched, the Advancing Healthcare Campaign hoped to raise $8 million in support of the hospital’s planned $61 million four story patient pavilion, one of the largest capital expansion projects ever undertaken in the City of Watertown, NY.  Instead, more than 750 community donors donated, pledged or bequeathed a total of $13.5 million to the campaign. 

 

Keegan Associates provided comprehensive support, including the development of the Case for Support document, the campaign logo and stationary, television, digital, and print ads, a video, multiple brochures/mailers, press releases and community presentation materials.
